  1. Brazil has a good chunk of our national debt?? Is that 'cause we pay their sugar farmers subsidies?? 'Here have some capital for your farms, Brazil!' 'Oh thank you, Sam, do you need help paying that?' 'Why thank you, Brazil, how generous!' This would all stop if we stopped paying subsidies to farmers-ours and theirs... just saying.

  2. Aren't we supposed to be using the Social Security trust fund on the elderly not to bail us out? I do not understand why whenever the government messes up we are the ones who have to pay...literally.

  3. I'm surprised to see Brazil on the list even though they are at such a small percentage. But then again since we owe a lot money it is still a substantial. Although people may not be happy the government should raise taxes momentarily until they can pay some of the debt off. However they may have to raise them too high in order to do that. Instead of feeding all of our money into the military maybe we should use some of that money for other things so that we do not need to borrow as much from other countries.
