Thank you for visiting my blog. I post things I think will be of interest to high school students and teachers of economics/government/civics etc. Please leave a comment if what you find here has been useful to you. THANK YOU!
Sometimes I get a little irritated with the argument for guns in America saying that the citizens would need the weapons if there would ever be a revolt against the United States Government. However, in Egypt, where human rights are violated and the people have suffered "long trains of abuses" is the certainty of more bloodshed, which is a loss of human rights, literally, in itself, comparable to the possibility of overthrowing a corrupt government? That is a very though question for me to answer. What if the Patriots in the American Revolution only had rocks to fight with? Britain would have won and our nation’s history would have changed dramatically. So the history of the success of well-equipped revolution makes the Egyptian situation even cloudier. In any case, I pray that the situation can be resolved peacefully.
